One Day at a time…
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” — Proverbs 16:3
This week, God has been reminding me to take life one day at a time. Twenty‑four hours is all I’m responsible for — not tomorrow, not next week, just today. I shared a VIDO (video devotional) about this on Sunday, and the truth is, the word was for me first. God often speaks to the prophet before He speaks to the people, and I didn’t realize how much I would need that reminder for myself.
Because the moment I released that word, life started stacking distractions — nasty, superficial news one after another — and it wasn’t even Wednesday. But God brought me right back to the message: take it one day at a time. Life will be difficult. Things will pop up. You will get tired, annoyed, and blindsided. But be kind to yourself. You are human. You can make mistakes. Life can throw rocks at you, and God will still give you the strength to handle whatever comes when it comes.
Today is Wednesday, and I don’t know how hard the week has already hit you, but hear me: God is with you every single step of the way. So put your big boy and big girl pants on, grab hold of God’s mantle, and ride through life with joy — even through the annoyances, the uncertainties, and the grief. Because joy comes in the morning. Always.
